eMKay Products

Home made with natural ingredients and natural preservatives.

How eMKay Products all started.

I was born in Parow North, a suburb of Cape Town. From as little as I can remember I always mixed creams and ointments together. I would sit in the bath at a little age of 4 years and would add everything in my reach into a container. This I would mark as my ‘Special Miracle Cream’.

My friends firmly believed in my Miracle cream and would come to me for my remedy ointment to put on their scrapes, sores and ailments.

I was always very creative and curious about what manufacturers would put in their products and would read all the labels and ingredients. After school I decided to study Food Science as it was as creative and amazingly full of new inspired ideas. My career took me on a wide tour into all facets of the Food industry and I collected a lot of ideas as well as inspiration from the different industries.

I received my Degree, Honors and Masters in Food Science through the University of Stellenbosch. With a blessed life and three gorgeous children we ended up in Swaziland where my middle child can have a chance at life due to his Brain Injury, Labelled as Downs Syndrome. Sebastian was the inspiration to try my hand at mixing again ointments as he had a very delicate and eczema prone skin. In Swaziland there is an Orphanage Village called Bulembu where they extract honey as an income to support the children. I decided to support them by buying the honey in bulk and start to mix different ratios of essential oils, creams and especially the honey.

I finally, by God’s Grace, hit the spot and developed an awesome Honey Moisturiser suitable for all skin types and a Wonderful Foot Balm. Sebastian’s skin improved and people asked for samples. The word spread and the more people used it the more requests I received of expanding into new products that can help people.

I have now more than 30 products made ‘Home Made’ with as natural ingredients as possible. I also try to use as natural possible preservation and in small quantities to minimize any risk of allergies etc.

I met a wonderful caring person who knew the struggle to do marketing and she opted to help me start my marketing. All my thanks for God’s Grace.
